The Venue

Situated near Newcastle at the foot of the Mournes, Tollymore Forest covers an area of over 1,500 acres and boasts fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and sea. The Shimna River flows along its rocky bed through the centre of the park - this tree shaded river with its numerous deep pools is home to a variety of birds and mammals such as kingfishers and otters......and come the 28th September, will be a welcome place to cool down for our four-legged athletes!

The Waggy Races 2 course will follow the trails through the forest along the river - Tollymore is a stunning venue and a race not to be missed!

From Belfast: Take the A24 south to Clough Village, then join the A2 Newcastle Road. Just past Dundrum, the forest park is signposted to the right.

From Newcastle: Follow the signposted route from the Central Promenade towards Bryansford Village. After approximately two miles the forest park is signposted on the left.
