The Venue

Castle Ward is one of Northern Ireland's most popular National Trust properties.  The house is set amidst 820 acres on a beautiful elevated site on the shore of Strangford Lough.

The 5km Waggy Races course starts in front of the Mansion, looping past the stable yard before joining the trail towards Strangford Lough. The route will take runners along the shore before passing into the forested trails and eventually back to the the mansion.  The scenery is stunning throughout - a highly recommended route and one not to be missed!
